I am a philosopher working at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels and the Institute of Philosophy at KU Leuven.

My philosophical interests are wide-ranging, but my current research has two main focuses. First, the philosophy of artificial intelligence (AI), which I take to include conceptual issues about the nature of AI and AI-agency, AI ethics and, more broadly, the question of what it means to live well with AI. Second, the impact of AI and autonomous weapon systems on military ethical thinking, especially within the Just War tradition

My work combines philosophical analysis with sensitivity to the felt realities of living and working with technology. This perspective is shaped by both my academic training—including a DPhil from the University of Sussex on Russell's Theory of Descriptions—and many years' experience in the private sector, working on technology ethics, privacy, and data protection.

I'm currently completing a second PhD, examining the roles of virtues and duties in networks of military practice. This work is supervised by Lode Lauwaert, Carl Ceulemans, and Michaël Dewyn.
